“Uncarved wood holds its own potential.” — Tao Te Ching
Rooted in the Taoist idea of wu wei — non-doing — this exhibition gathers small abstract paintings, open journals, and photographic works. Through gestures of white, repetition, and reduction, Katrina Lezaic reflects on stillness, simplicity, and the beauty of the unpolished.
Seven butterfly photographs, taken in 2020 when nature briefly paused to regenerate, are layered over abstract canvases and journals, merging image and process. Together, the works invite quiet attention and resist the acceleration of contemporary life.
